Below are the terms and conditions of your stay at Ōhope Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park.
Please read carefully before your stay to maximise the enjoyment of your holiday.
Terms and Conditions
All bookings are accepted on the basis that you have read, understood, and agree to abide, and be bound, by the following Terms & Conditions and House Rules. On check-in, you may also be required to verify your identity with photographic identification. Should you choose not to proceed with this reservation, you are required to advise us within 24hrs of making your booking for a refund of all monies paid.
1. Premises are let for short term/ holiday purposes only for the agreed period and at the agreed nightly or weekly rate subject to subsequent change as agreed by the parties.
2. The premises, with the exception of Queenstown at 3:00 pm, are available from 2.00pm and generally NOT BEFORE on the day of arrival and are to be vacated at 10.00am (unless otherwise stated) on the day of departure. The purpose of these strict times is to allow the necessary time to clean the premises. Please consider your fellow incoming/outgoing holiday occupants. We may consider requests for early arrival or late checkout if available.
3. Pets are not allowed, and all accommodation options are smoke free only. Evidence of smoking or pets will give rise to a cleaning fee of $200 charged against your credit card or payable in cash at our option. (PETS ARE PERMITTED AT SOME OF OUR PROPERTIES, PLEASE CONTACT PARKS DIRECTLY FOR CONFIRMATION OF THIS POLICY)
4. The maximum number of persons permitted to occupy the booked premises will form part of the booking contract and will be nominated when you make your booking. Persons found occupying the premises over and above the number on the booking may give rise to an additional fee or early termination for breach.
All damage, breakages, or losses to the property and/or furniture/furnishings are to be reported to the reception and paid for immediately. All furnishings and equipment must be left in the premises as originally found. Damage not paid for will be charged to your card without notice.
5. Pre-Authorisation/Security Deposit (Bond) for accommodation: A valid Visa or MasterCard is required on check-in. A pre-authorised payment may be taken from your card and held as a security deposit for damages, excessive cleaning or extra charges.
6. The pre-authorisation/security bond varies depending on accommodation type booked. Bonds may apply on hired items. All security deposits will be refundable upon check-out after an inspection has been carried out, less any additional charges. Depending on your bank and processing times, it may take a few days for the security deposit to return to your card.
7. All accommodation is for short term/ holiday purposes only. Functions and parties on the premises are strictly not allowed. We reserve the right to terminate your occupancy immediately if you cause damage, a nuisance or annoyance to neighbours.
8. Unless stated within the property description, all premises (other than camping and caravan sites) are self-contained (except at Glendhu Bay) and generally includes linen for the main bedroom, some accommodation options do not include linen. Additional linen is available for hire.
9.No responsibility is taken for guests’ personal property left on the premises. A handling fee of $15.00 plus postage will be charged when guests request lost property to be returned by post.
10. With telephone or postal bookings, any printed, written, or verbal description of the premises by the agent or an employee is made in good faith. No responsibility for discrepancies will be accepted. Please choose your property carefully using the information provided on our comprehensive websites. There is no provision to change properties on your arrival if you are unhappy with your choice.
11. Guests are responsible for the safekeeping and replacement of any accommodation keys. Guests requiring a key from the park manager after office hours will be charged a service fee of $55.00.
12. Parking is generally available for one vehicle only unless prior arrangements have been made. Please Park in your designated spot. Extra vehicles, boats, etc may be accommodated elsewhere and may incur a fee.
13. No refunds or credits for early departures.
14. Management wishes to warn guests and other persons who engage in recreational activity, with the holiday park, that the pursuit of such activities may result in harm or personal injury. All persons who engage in a recreational activity do so at their own risk.
15. Guests agree to abide by any House Rules posted in any cabin, camp kitchen or recreational area and must supervise and ensure their children comply with such rules.
16. Any payments made by card may be subject to a 2% surcharge.
17. You hereby acknowledge, represent, and warrant that your caravan/motorhome has a current Warrant of Electrical Fitness at the time you seek to connect to our embedded electrical network. You further acknowledge and represent that you will only use an approved external RCD cord to connect. You hereby indemnify us for any loss, damage or penalty we may suffer as a consequence of your representations being untrue.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If you cancel your reservation with us, cancellation fees are payable as follows: Cancellations must be provided in writing and emailed to the specific park. High & Peak Seasons: Free cancellation period up to 15 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations within 14 days of the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the total booking tariff. Low & Shoulder Seasons: Free cancellation period up to 6 days prior to arrival date. Cancellations within 5 days of the arrival date will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to the total booking tariff. Special Offers: All special offer rates are non-refundable unless stated otherwise. Online Travel Agents (OTAs) and 3rd Party Websites: Cancellation policies vary. Please refer to your original booking provider. Cancellations due to exceptional circumstances will be taken into consideration. PLEASE NOTE: Booking alterations include date changes, reduction in nights and reduction in guests. These fall under the same rule as a cancellation and must be amended prior to the free cancellation period.
PAYMENT POLICY
High & Peak Seasons: A deposit of 25% of the total booking tariff is payable at time of booking to confirm the reservation. Final balance is payable 14 days prior to the arrival date. Should your balance not be received by the due date, this amount will be automatically deducted from the credit card on file. Low & Shoulder Seasons: A deposit equivalent to the first night’s booking tariff is payable at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Final balance is payable 5 days prior to the arrival date. Should your balance not be received by the due date, this amount will be automatically deducted from the credit card on file. Special: A deposit of 100% of the total booking tariff is payable at the time of booking to confirm the reservation. Online Travel Agents (OTAs) and 3rd Party Websites: Deposit requirements vary & will be displayed at time of booking.
Reception:
Reception is open daily.
High season: 8:00 am–8:00 pm (mid-December to after Waitangi Weekend, Easter & Labour Weekend).
Shoulder/Low season: 8:00 am–7:00 pm (After Waitangi Weekend to 10th December).
Christmas Day: Limited hours. Please enquire with reception.
Check In and Check Out Times
Check-In Time: from 2:00 pm for roofed accommodation and 1:00 pm for camping sites. Please advise if arriving later than 7:00 pm so arrangements can be made for a late check-in. You may call on 0800 264 673 or email reception.2ob@hhp.nz
Check-Out Time: no later than 10:00 am for both sites and roofed accommodation on the day of departure unless by prior arrangement.
Cancellations
There will be no refund for early departure or late arrival. This includes conditions due to natural causes i.e. weather. This also applies to guests who are asked to leave the park because of their behaviour. Guests are liable for the full amount of stay as booked.
Management reserves the right to cancel a reservation if the alteration reduces the reservation to below minimum stay requirements and cancellation penalties will apply.
Confirmation Letters
These are generated once deposit has been paid and either given/sent at time of booking or re-booking. Please check them carefully and notify us of any changes or all details will be taken as correct.
Tariff/Prices
Our tariffs are reviewed annually for the new season. Please be aware prices may change when booking in advance from one season to the next. Prices are subject to change without prior notification.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome to the park but must leave their vehicles on Harbour Road. All visitors are at the sole discretion of the management.
Visitors will incur a $15 charge per person or a charge of $35 per family (2 Adults and 2 Children). Additional members to a family party will be charged at $15 per person.
All visitors are the site holder’s responsibility and must leave the park by 10:00pm.
Visitors are required to wear an armband when onsite. Please do not be offended if visitors who do not register at the reception are asked to leave the park. This is for resident’s security and enjoyment of park facilities.
At busy times, visitors will not be able to use the swimming pool facilities.
Caravans/Campervans
Require a current Electrical Warrant of Fitness displayed and comply with LPG Standard (As/NZS3100). Management reserve the right to disconnect any caravan/campervan that does not have a current electrical warrant of fitness.
Conduct
We reserve the right to charge a bond to all bookings, refundable after departure if all rules are adhered to.
Ōhope Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park does not accept abuse in any form aimed at our staff members and/or patrons. If you are found to be abusing our staff members or patrons, we reserve the right to have you immediately removed from the premises without any reimbursement or accommodation costs. Ōhope Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park accepts no responsibility for any additional accommodation charges incurred due to an eviction from our premises.
We are a family-based park and ask that you are thoughtful, to your fellow guests at all times. Complete quietness between the hours of 10:00 pm and before 7:00 am. The only exception is New Year's Eve, which is 12:30 am.
As a guide if you can be heard more than a site away you are too noisy. No music or radios after 10:00 pm. Management reserves the right to cancel tenancy at any time of any person or group, who in the opinion of the management, behave in an objectionable manner or contravene the Holiday Park rules. There will be no refund of fees paid. Loud swearing or bad language will not be tolerated.
Ōhope Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park reserves the right to refuse entry and/or request termination of booking without refund regarding disorderly conduct.
Antisocial Behaviour will not be tolerated at any time, day or night. Please be respectful to our other guests around you.
These must be complied with at all times or you may be asked to vacate the park.
Fireworks/BBQ's
Only Gas BBQ's are allowed in the park. Please make sure all BBQ's are safe for use and gas is turned off after use. Strictly no open wood or charcoal fires. Fireworks are not permitted in the Park.
Speed
Walking pace only for cars, bikes and scooters. Our roads are a 'Shared Zone' for all pedestrians, bikes and vehicles. WATCH out for Children please.
Gate Pin Code/Park Access
A gate pin code will be issued on arrival which is required to enter and exit the Park. It is important that children do not use the code and that you do not disclose your code to others.
Parking
Vehicles must be parked on your own site only, not on driveways or neighbouring sites unless previously arranged with management.
Smoking
We have a non-smoking policy in all our accommodation units, pool area and communal areas. When smoking please be considerate of others.
Damage
The person listed on the booking is responsible for any charges incurred due to any damage, breakages or soiling of park property.
Child Ages
Children must be supervised by a parent. Child ages are 2 - 14 years inclusive – where child rates are offered. On all accommodation infants under 2 years are free.
Bike/Scooter/Skateboards Policy
Parents are responsible for children's safety and well-being.
Safety and consideration to other guests is critical when riding bikes, skateboards, or scooters. Helmets must be worn when riding bikes. As a safety measure, Bikes, skateboards, and scooters are not to be ridden in the park grounds once the park lights come on and must be away at nightfall (as soon as the security lights come on). They are not allowed around the communal blocks or on decks. Any found in these areas will be removed.
As a safety measure Children are not permitted to ride their bikes or scooters around the main entrance of the park.
Gang Insignia
Gang insignia including patches must not be worn or displayed in the park.
